2'-fucosyllactose (2'-FL) is a universal prebiotic for young and old. 2'-FL are unique prebiotics. They are bio-identical breast milk oligosaccharides or 'Human Milk Oligosaccharides' (HMOs). 2'-FL is a small, soluble trisaccharide that is naturally present in breast milk, together with other glycans. It is composed of L-fucose, D-galactose and D-glucose. 2'-FL are unique and rare prebiotics because they do not occur in our daily food products. So we can only take them as a supplement.
